In the months that followed Chase's death, I began to write. On November of 2015, I released my first book, "A Life Half Lived" A True Story of Love, Addiction, Tragedy, and Hope. This is Chase's life story. I began to speak in churches, schools, and anywhere else I could get an audience about the dangers of drug abuse. In December of 2017, I released the short film about Chase's life titled, "Deadly Influences" that I produced with the help of a few good friends.
Chase's story through speeches, book, and film has been a life-changer for a lot of people. However, I want to do more. I have been on a journey to find solutions to the opioid epidemic and in general, the drug abuse problem. On this journey, I've met a lot of brilliant people from all walks of life - pediatricians, ER doctors, pharmacists, psychiatrists, and other parents whose children have died as a result of drug abuse. I've also asked teens and young adults why they use drugs and what their solutions are. I invite you to join me on my journey and learn with me as I look for solutions and work to save lives.
